"Finding a practical legal solution to solve clients’ problems is my top priority.  With my knowledge and training in finance and business, I can understand the broader issues and challenges they face. This allows me to work with them to devise the best possible strategy to meet their expectations and goals."

Philippe Lieberman came to law from a background in finance and international business. In the commercial and real estate litigation matters he now handles, that background gives him a distinct strategic advantage. He is uniquely able to cut through the complex financial issues that underlie many of these disputes.

In his law practice, he brings that savvy to his representation of clients in a range of business cases. Philippe's matters entail lender liability, financial fraud, business and partnership disputes, foreclosures, real estate and shareholders' derivative actions. He also litigates disputes that involve commercial transactions, fiduciary obligations, corporate governance and trade secrets. If it pertains to the operation and finance of a major commercial enterprise, Philippe handles it.

While Philippe's background in finance and business gives him an advantage as a litigator, it also works to the benefit of his clients. He understands that when a business becomes embroiled in litigation, it can win the battle but lose the war. He works closely with his clients to plan the end game – to consider the best business and practical outcome. As part of that, he makes sure that his clients fully understand the issues and stakes.

Fluent in French and a native of Europe, Philippe has an international clientele and frequently represents the interests of foreign investors, real estate developers, brokers, and businesses in South Florida. He also has experience with multi-country and multi-jurisdictional disputes.

From Philippe’s Case Files:

Reversing the charges. After the manufacturer of the Cigarette Racing Team speedboats sold his company, the purchaser claimed he had submitted fraudulent financial statements. The manufacturer retained Philippe, whose financial skills enabled him to reverse the charges. He unearthed evidence that it was the buyer who had withheld key financial information from an arbitration panel. That paved the way for Philippe's client to collect on a million-dollar promissory note and recover its legal fees and litigation costs.
