Divorce Hotel?

Hotels are usually associated with positives like vacations and staycations but now a new reality tv show in the Netherlands is changing it up. Welcome to the “Divorce Hotel,” where couples check in on a Friday and spend the weekend working on their break up with attorneys and mediators and by Monday they check out with divorce papers in hand. Sounds simple and easy enough but this might be underscoring the emotional and detailed process of divorce.

From the NYT article:
Jason Marks, a divorce lawyer in Miami (at Kluger Kaplan), says complex cases cannot be resolved in a weekend. And some people may do all sorts of things when a marriage runs into trouble: hide money, undervalue assets, perpetrate fraud.
“That happens all the time,” Mr. Marks says. It takes time — and expensive lawyers — to sort it all out.”
