Miami rapper, Rick Ross is sued over his album title. We wonder how DuPont feels about these guys using Teflon in their names….

It’s time to add another lawsuit to Rick Ross’ name. Well, not his name actually but rather the title of his killer 2010 album, Teflon Don. And Rozay isn’t the only one named in the lawsuit by a rapper who calls himself Teflon Don; his real name is Donald Askey Jr. He alleges that the Bawse, DJ Khaled, Universal Music Group, Slip-N-Slide Records, Def Jam Recordings, and Maybach Music Group all committed “trademark infringement, common-law trademark rights, trademark delusion, unfair competition, tortious interference and fraud and identity theft” for illegally using his name.
In the suit, Askey makes the claim that he received a shout-out from Khaled back in 2007 on “I Represent,” a track on Coast 2 CoastMixtape Vol. 10. Specifically, Khaled said, “To my homie Teflon Don, we the best.” And since then, Rozay obviously found success last year with Teflon Don, which Askey said has confused his fans and belittled his music. According to Askey, his music has a much more positive message while “the music he (Rick Ross) puts out is almost demeaning.” He added, “We have two different crowds and it is making me lose clientele based on the fact that they think that I am a negative rapper.”
This, of course, isn’t the first time Rozay has been the target of a lawsuit. In just the past year, he settled with drug dealer Freeway Ricky Ross for the use of his name while a judge dismissed a lawsuit brought to the rapper alleging that his pitbull killed a yorkie.
