Biography

Taiye Ajayi is a law student at the University of Miami School of Law and the recipient of Kluger Kaplan’s 2025 H.T. Smith Legal Studies Scholarship. She is currently pursuing her J.D., where she ranks in the top third of her class and has earned CALI Excellence for the Future Awards in both Legal Communication & Research I and II.

Prior to law school, Taiye graduated summa cum laude from Auburn University with a degree in Political Science. She currently serves as Secretary of the University of Miami’s Black Law Students Association and previously served as a Student Ambassador.

Taiye’s legal experience includes positions with Ben Crump Law, NeJame Law, Morgan & Morgan, and Kassel Law Group, where she has assisted with legal research, drafting pleadings and discovery, client communications, and trial preparation. She will also serve as a legal intern with the University of Miami Children & Youth Law Clinic, providing representation to children and young adults in dependency and related civil matters.

As the 2025 H.T. Smith Legal Studies Scholar, Taiye was recognized for her academic excellence, leadership, commitment to service, and dedication to advancing opportunities within the legal profession.
