IF I WERE GOVERNOR: I would substantially increase the funds available for education and school activities. We seem to have forgotten that our young people spend one-third of their day and almost half of their waking hours in our schools. We have such a great opportunity to teach, mold and set examples — from pre-school to the late teenage years.
