Each year, the Florida Legal Awards recognize attorneys and legal professionals who are making a meaningful impact across the state’s legal landscape. Hosted by the Daily Business Review and Law.com, the awards highlight both emerging talent and established leaders shaping the future of the profession.
As part of this year’s recognition, finalists are featured in a Q&A series highlighting their early contributions and professional growth. Briana Harris, an associate at Kluger, Kaplan, Silverman, Katzen & Levine, was named a finalist for Most Promising Newcomer in the 2026 Florida Legal Awards.
Briana’s inclusion reflects her growing impact within the firm and the broader legal community. Her practice focuses on commercial, complex, and real estate litigation, where she brings a thoughtful, detail-oriented approach to sophisticated legal matters.
In her Q&A, Briana highlights the initiative and leadership that have defined her early career. While serving as Editor-in-Chief of the FIU Law Review, she implemented new training resources to improve editing accuracy and consistency, while also developing a first-of-its-kind handbook to guide future leadership. These efforts helped the Law Review achieve a milestone level of publication output—demonstrating both her commitment to excellence and her ability to drive meaningful, lasting improvements.
Briana’s path to Kluger Kaplan has been marked by academic distinction and a strong commitment to service. She graduated as Salutatorian of the part-time program at Florida International University College of Law, where she was also an active member of Moot Court. She is also the inaugural recipient of the firm’s H.T. Smith Legal Studies Scholarship and previously served as a summer law clerk with Kluger Kaplan.
