Kluger Kaplan Launches Second Annual H.T. Smith Legal Studies Scholarship

The Miami-based law firm Kluger, Kaplan, Silverman, Katzen & Levine has launched its second annual H.T. Smith Legal Studies Scholarship. 

Named after Professor Smith, the $10,000 scholarship — and summer clerkship at the firm — are intended to create a more diverse workforce by supporting minority law students who demonstrate a strong connection to the South Florida community. 

FIU 2L Briana Harris (’24) was the inaugural scholarship recipient and joins the firm as a summer associate this year.

A trailblazing civil rights pioneer and trial lawyer, Professor Smith is founding director of the FIU Law Trial Advocacy Program.  He teaches Trial Advocacy and Advanced Trial Advocacy.
